The theme selected for AICERA -2023 is Advanced Nanomaterials. Amal Jyothi Centre for Nanoscience and Technology and the Department of Basic Sciences of Amal Jyothi are organizing AICERA 2023 in partnership with the Department of Energy Materials, Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam and the Faculty of Chemistry Gdansk University, Poland.

About AJCE

Amal Jyothi College of Enginnering Kanjirappally (AJCE) has established itself as a benchmark of excellence in technical higher education, research, innovative student projects and entrepreneurship. Founded in 2001 by the Catholic Diocese of Kanjirappally, AJCE is approved by the AICTE and affiliated to APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University, Kerala. Amal Jyothi is the first new generation engineering college in Kerala to secure the prestigious NBA accreditation for prime departments and the first engineering college to have NAAC accreditation with ‘A’ grade.
The main features of the College comprise world-class infrastructure, top-flight faculty, high pass percentage, excellent placement record, outstanding entrepreneurship and unique skills centers. Amal Jyothi is a mega complex of 16.5 lakh sq.ft. built-up area overlooking the busy Kanjirappally-Erumeli stretch of the Kottayam-Sabarimala state highway. The two campus hostels, taken care of by dedicated Catholic priests and sisters, have a capacity of 2500 inmates. The campus has 610 Mbps internet connectivity with WiFi. The College offers B.Tech Programmes in ECE, CSE, IT, ME, EEE, CE, ME (AU), CH, FT and MME, M.Tech in highly specialized areas under the departments of ECE, CSE, EEE, CE, CHE & ME, MCA in two streams and Ph.D in Basic Sciences and Engineering .
Amal Jyothi Center for Nanoscience and Technology (ACeNT) was established in 2012 for fostering research and development activities in various areas of Nanotechnology. Several funded projects from the DST, DRDO, KSCSTE, KTU and AICTE have been successfully implemented at the Center. Guidance of students at the Doctoral, Master’s and B. Tech level is a prime activity of the Center. ACeNT has also established research collaborations with several institutes in India and abroad. The Department of Basic Sciences, an integral part of the College since its inception offering instruction in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry is devoted to foster the understanding of basic scientific principles. Academic programs of this department are designed to meet the requirements of the fast growing science and technology.
